They're Coming Over TONIGHT?!?!?! Dessert

It's 5pm and your hubby calls on his way home from work to let you know that he has invited a few people over to the house... tonight!  GACK!  In addition to the facts that A) you are still in your jammies, B) the house is covered in dust, fruit snacks, and matchbox cars, and C) you haven't washed your hair in three days, YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO RUN TO THE GROCERY STORE!  What are you going to serve these people?!?

Maybe you haven't ever been through this exact situation (although I hope I am not the only person who doesn't bother changing out of her jammies on some days), I am sure you have had some time in your life when you realized that you needed to make something yummy... fast!

That's where this delicious, and deliciously simple, dessert can save your PJ'd kiester.

To make Easy Fruit Cobbler, you will need:
2 cans of pie filling (any flavor)
1 box butter flavored cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter

Empty those two cans of pie filling into an ungreased 9x13.  If you use apple pie filling, you can mix a few teaspoons of cinnamon or apple pie spice in there too.  Just because you can.

Dump the cake mix right on top making sure it covers all the fruit.  Don't be too picky though; remember that the bathroom needs to be cleaned yet.

Yummmmmmm.

Melt the butter in the microwave and pour the deliciousness all over the cake mix.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes while you hop in the shower (not literally).  Take it out of the oven when it's all golden and purty.

Serve it warm and gooey with a dollop of Cool (h)Whip and a mug of coffee.

Easy Fruit Cobbler

1 1/2 sticks of butter, melted

Pour pie filling into 9x13 pan.  Spread evenly.  Sprinkle dry cake mix over fruit.  Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.  Bake at 350 for 45-50 or until crust is golden.  Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
